This glorious 18th-century Face Forever (?) is by Franz Xaver Messerschmidt (1736-1783). If you ignore the fact that these busts were inspired by the grimaces Messerschmidt made while seized by horrific pain, you are free to appreciate what fine face-making skills he demonstrates, not to mention his sculpting skills.
